Szakmai fórum az önkéntességről - Expert meeting on volunteering

 
Az önkéntesség olyan tevékenység, melyet egyénileg vagy csoportosan, rendszeresen vagy alkalmanként, belföldön vagy külföldön a közös jó érdekében végeznek anyagi ellenszolgáltatás nélkül.

Az önkéntes tevékenységek fejlesztik a szociális készségeket és kompetenciákat, segítik a társadalmi szolidaritást, sokoldalú tapasztalatot nyújtanak.



Az önkéntesség hozzájárul:

- foglalkoztatás

- társadalmi részvétel

- helyi társadalmi folyamatokban való részvétel

- autonóm életvitel minél további fenntartása.

A Kapacitásfejlesztés az időskori ellátásbiztonság növelése érdekében projekt keretében szakmai fórumot szerveztünk az önkéntességről, 2016. november 09-én az Aranyszöm Rendezvényház Dísztermében.



A program során prezentációkat hallgattunk meg és tapasztalatot cseréltünk az önkéntesség generációkat átívelő irányairól; azaz az alábbi témákról:

- Fiatalok önkéntes tevékenysége idősek felé

- Idősek önkéntes tevékenysége fiatalok felé

- Idősek önkéntes tevékenysége idősek felé

- Idősek önkéntes tevékenysége a köz javára

- Kölcsönös önkénteskedés: idős-fiatal célcsoport közös tevékenységei

Expert meeting on volunteering
(local initiative to bring forward the issues of gender equality and equal opportunities)
Volunteering covers all types of activities, that are carried out either on an individual or group level and on a regular basis or occasionally that are performed domestically or abroad aiming at the common good without any financial remuneration.
Volunteering activities are proven to improve social skills and competencies on the level of individuals, enhance social solidarity on a group level and provide a wide range of other additional experience.
Volunteering in general contributes to:
• employment
• better integration into the social/societal fabric
• being part of local community initiatives
• maintaining a prolonged autonomous life style for the elderly
Within the frame of our project there was a specialist event organized on November 9th at Mórahalom covering the topic of volunteering in general and suggesting potential voluntary activities that may focus primarily on elderly care.
The agenda systematically covered topics that can be directly related to those areas of voluntary work that aim at bridging gaps between generations. These topics were as follows:
• Voluntary youth work for the benefits of the elderly
• Voluntary work of the elderly benefiting the younger generations
• Voluntary elderly work targeting other elderly people
• Voluntary elderly work with a special focus on the community
• Mutual voluntary work (joint activities for the younger and elderly volunteers)
